The director’s copy of the script to The Ghost Sonata is filled with so many handwritten notes and sketches that it becomes a fascinating, fragmented essay in its own right.
About the text
Bergman apparently viewed the script itself as one of his works, judging from what is written on the last page:
This director’s copy was completed on Saturday the 19th of July, 15:20 in the little cabin on Karlsudd, in collaboration with Kajsa.
