New Bergman film!

Written in 1972, this monologue was originally planned to be Bergman's attempt at making a film comprising only close-ups. It was never made into a film but did become a radio play directed by Bergman.

In 2011, director Bénédicte Acolas staged the play in Paris and gave the monologue to Sophie Marceau. Acolas has since adapted the production for the screen.

"Une Histoire d'âme will premiere on channel Arte France on Thursday, Dec. 3.
