While working with All These Women, Bergman benefited from the experiments that had been conducted in the Colour Film School. The school was active between 1960-61 and met about twenty times. The following members were almost always present: Ingmar Bergman, Allan Ekelund, Gunnar Fischer, Sven Nykvist, Börje Lund, P.A. Lundgren and Mago.

During the Colour Film School’s meetings, they had tested the colour perception of it’s members. In the protocol from February 23rd 1960, it’s noted after tests at Karolinska hospital it was found that ’the members were in possession of normal color vision.’
