Night Light
Directed by Lars-Eric Kjellgren (Ingmar Bergman's input into the screenplay was anonymous).
"[...] proof of what can happen when one misconstrues Ingmar Bergman."C B-n in Dagens Nyheter
About the film
Ingmar Bergman's contribution to the film did not appear in the credits. However, the cover of the screenplay reads: 'A romantic comedy by Lars-Eric Kjellgren. Scenario: Lars-Eric Kjellgren and Ingmar Bergman.' There is therefore more than a hint of irony in the fact that one of the reviews (the most critical) cited Bergman without being aware of his input:
'Night Light is the result, the highly dubious result, of Lars-Eric Kjellgren's ambition to play the part of a Stockholm René Clair. Or if you will: proof of what can happen when one misconstrues Ingmar Bergman.'
